The public is invited to attend a community town hall meeting regarding the review of the Cultural Funding and related programs provided by the Cultural Arts Division of the Economic Development Department of the City of Austin. The annual Austin Powwow is one of the programs funded by the Cultural Arts Division.
This meeting is an opportunity to make our voices heard and let the City of Austin know the importance of the Austin Powwow to the Austin Native American community.
The town hall meeting has one central goal – to hear directly from residents, so that we better understand the challenges – and opportunities – associated with the city’s cultural resources and making them more available to more residents. This meeting will be facilitated by MJR Partners, a Texas-based team of arts management professionals and arts practitioners, who will help identify and plan for adjustments in our work that aligns with The City of Austin Strategic Direction 2023.
Spanish translators will be provided at the meeting. The City of Austin is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Reasonable Modifications and Equal Access to communications will be provided upon request. Free onsite parking will be available. Please contact Alberto Mejia at Alberto.Mejia@austintexas.gov or (512) 974-7875, with questions or concerns.
